oCPS Graduate Course: Control Systems for CPS, 10-14 October 2016 at TUM Munich, Germany
Course name: Control systems

This course is a PhD level course giving a brief introduction to control of cyber-physical systems (CPS). The focus lies on systems and control aspects in CPS. It covers topics ranging from fundamentals of modeling and control to particular aspects of distributed and networked control, which are relevant for networked CPS.
Course Objectives:
After completing the course, the students should have obtained the following:
- Knowledge: the students should have a general understanding of control problems in CPS, their key properties and challenges; they should have an overview of relevant system modeling, analysis and control design techniques; they should have studied and understood example applications.
- Capabilities: the students have examined control aspects of CPS and are capable of setting up a proper analysis and designs of such systems. They can access relevant literature on the topic.

The course consists of one week of lectures and exercises/ tutorials at TUM in Munich.

The academic content of the course is being developed by Sebastian Engells (TUD), Sandra Hirche (TUM), and Stefan Sosnowski (TUM).
This training is mandatory for the 15 oCPS doctoral candidates. To confirm your participation, please contact Ulrike Scholze (Ulrike.Scholze@tum.de) by September 26th 2016. Please also inform her, if you won’t be able to attend the full week of training, if you plan not to attend any or one of the dinners and if you have any special dietary requests.

The course starts on Monday, Oct 10, at 09.30 and ends Friday, Oct 14 at 14.00.
